Havin' Fun???
Are you having fun? You should!!! In many places it's cold now, so use this time to tune up your bike for next year!!! Or just do regular tuning! You could do tuning so your bike stays in shape all winter long!!! That would be called maintenance, though.

Helmet Safety
Helmet safety is very important. You con't want to crash and break your head!!! So, I like to wear full face helmets for all types of mountain biking.
The following only applies to full face helmets.
Use ASPM1952 rated helmets for optimal protection. For downhill riding, ASPM1952 standard helmets are mandatory. Also, if your helmet is qualified by Europe standards it's an awesome helmet because Europe standards are very high.
The following only applies to half face helmets.
Don't use BMX helmets. They're way too heavy and don't meet mountain biking standards. But, always remember that full face helmets are waaaaaaaaaaaay better than half face helmets. Don't use half face helmets unless absolutely required!!!

Flowing With The Ground
Sometimes, keeping in flow with the ground makes for a really good photo. What do I mean? Lining the bike so that the bike is totally sideways looking very similar to the ground. The bike should be in a position in which, if landed, would look like a part of the ground. Also, when the photographer takes the photo so that only half of the bike shows over the ground, his image looks spectacular. In Bike Mag's October 2011 edition, in the BUZZ section, a really awesome picture was shown of riding really in flow with the ground.

Liking The New Theme
Does everybody like the new theme? Probably not. But, after everybody is accustomed to the new look of this blog, I think people will start liking the awesome new theme. Of course, if you still don't like the new theme, be sure to post a comment on this post to inform any of us that you don't like the theme. I really like the theme, though, and I will want at least more than 20 dislikes to change it. I like the new theme!!! The best thing about it? The backgrounds dark, so the white page contrasts real good! I told you that I really like the new theme! The only flaw was that some un-wanted credits. So, I just deleted the Attribution widget at the bottom of the page.

Some Mountain Biking Photos
Here are some awesome pictures from the Red Bull Rampage. They're not the best but they are pretty good. They have been in previous posts. There are only 2 pictures but they are some of the best!!! Here are the pictures.
The New Theme
We have a new theme!!! I hope that you enjoy it! It is also suited for the coming occasion of Halloween. Why's that? The new theme is related to Halloween because both involve black (or other dark colours) and orange. I personally think that the new theme is awesome!!! The Attribution widget at bottom of the blog has been removed. The blog still is mine and Gcn279's if you're wondering that a change of authors resulted in the change of theme. You can also comment on the new theme on the page of this post. If you want me or Gcn279 or both of us to change the theme, post a comment!!! Enjoy the new theme!!!

Concentrate on riding and all your worries will fade away and you'll have a lot of fun! Remember though, if you're riding a trail too hard for you, you're probably not going to have fun because you're to busy trying not to crash. So these are the secrets to having fun in mountain biking: concentrate on riding and never ride a trail that is too hard for you. Have fun riding!!!

Crankworx: Some Of The Best Mountain Biking Ever
Crankworx is a mountain biking festival held in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. The event welcomes pros and amateurs making it a favourite among many. Although the main part of Crankworx is mountain biking, other entertainment sources are also available. The event has many sponsors, the main being Kokanee Beer. Kokanee sponsors Crankworx so heavily, the event is sometimes also known as Kokanee Crankworx. The events in 2009 at Crankworx were the following: Dual Slalom, Monster Energy Garbonzo Downhill, Quon Memorial X/C Race, Womenzworx, Air Downhill, VW Trick Showdown, GIANT Slalom, Kidsworx, Canadian Open Enduro, Trailsworx, Canadian Cheese Rolling Championships, Monster Energy Slopestyle, and the Canadian Open Downhill. Also, there is a new event at Crankworx called the Red Bull Joyride.
Red Bull Joyride, in my opinion, is one of the best events at Crankworx. Why? I like slopestyle and I also like big airs. Guess whats the perfect match? Red Bull Joyride! It is a slopestyle event and it has a lot of big ramps to get a lot of huge air off. Here is a video of the Red Bull Joyride. Which year? 2011!!!

Whips
Whips - they look good, they are fun and they don't require too much skill. In a whip, a rider leans his bike in midair until it is perpendicular to the ground, holds it there, and then pulls the bike to normal position for the landing. How do I whip? I imagine me doing it when I want to whip and then, as if by magic, I do a whip!!! If you are good at whipping like I am, (I don't mean to brag but...) you can probably make the bike lean a little further than completely sideways, a whip almost going upside down sideways. There is another way to whip too!!! You can get the side of the bike facing in the direction you are going. This is a whip in which you are 90 degrees rotated while in midair. Here is a photo of a really awesome whip. The whip is the type mentioned in the first method. The picture has been in previous posts.
Here is a photo of a whip mentioned in the second method. This whip is also very good; awesome if you ask me!!! I am sure that you will like it. This picture has also been in previous posts.

Time To Get Your Skis Sharpened
Get your skis sharpened!!! Ski season is going to be coming very soon and you wouldn't want to miss the first few days just because your skis aren't sharpened. I had to miss the first couple of days (2 weeks) just because my skis weren't sharp, and believe me, that not fun. Get your skis sharpened early and buy whatever you need to not miss skiing!!!

Wear Your Protective Gear
Biking, mountain biking in particular, has a lot of injuries in it. Wear your armour!!! I wear kneepads, a long sleeve jersey, shorts and a neck brace. A neck brace is only required for extreme riding!!! I don't wear elbow pads because I feel that they restrict movement, but, you can wear them if you are not doing extreme manoeuvres. "-Wear your protection and go like hell-", said Travis Pastrana at X-Games 17, in which he crashed attempting a backflip 360. Travis is a dirt biker, just so you know. He is not a mountain biker. What Travis said is right, do anything, but, have the right protection on. Have fun riding safely!!! Below are pictures of Travis's crash; a crash that could have been way worse if he did not have protection. Good luck healing Travis!
